AGROCATALOGUE

Data base AGROCATALOGUE is tangible result of an effort and endeavor to integrate library holdings of the scientific base of the agriculture sector. AGROCATALOGUE comprises bibliographic records of all types of agriculture documents processed by the cooperating information centers (audiovisual documents, mission reports, articles, internal translations, cartographic documents, standards, books, proceedings, periodicals, analytical studies and scientific reports).

Data base producer is Institute of the Scientific - Technical Information for Agriculture, Nitra, Slovakia (ÚVTIP Nitra). ÚVTIP is responsible for coordination work (consultant, leadership in methodology and technology of data processing) and database regular updating.

Search possibilities

• full text searching - searching in all types of documents and in the each field of bibliographical record according to selected heading (respectively keyword) with possibility of combination of various headings by the Boolean algebra operators.
• alphabetical searching - search within various types of documents and data which are ordered alphabetically (author, title, location, type of document etc.)

Currently AGROCATALOGUE is built by 9 active participating institutes from the agriculture sector (see the list below). With two institutes which are apart of agriculture sector (namely Water Research Institute Bratislava and VUJE Trnava Inc. - Engineering, Design and Research Organization) there is discussion in the process about their further participation on the database system data processing.
